Plot (Season 1)

What would you think if one day you discovered you had an extraordinary ability? That’s what Heroes is about, telling the story of how the lives of several people from around the world change when they suddenly discover they have superpowers.

Among the superheroes is Peter Petrelli, a 26-year-old nurse who believes he can fly; his brother, Nathan Petrelli, a politician who cares more about appearances than anything else; Isaac Mendez, a drug addict who has the ability to paint images of the future when he’s high; Niki Sanders, a 33-year-old showgirl and single mother from Las Vegas whose alter-ego is tough; Micah, Niki’s 12-year-old son, whose ability to manipulate electronic devices is impressive; Hiro Nakamura, a 24-year-old Japanese geek who loves comics and can literally stop time; D.L. Hawkins, a prisoner who can phase through walls; Matt Parkman, a police officer who can hear other people’s thoughts; and Claire Bennet, a 16-year-old cheerleader who defies death whenever she wants.

On the other hand, Mohinder Suresh, the son of a well-known geneticist in India, travels to New York to investigate his father’s recent death and discovers that it might have been caused by his research into people with superhuman abilities.

Our ‘Heroes’ must face various organizations and mysterious figures very interested in their powers, who want to research and obtain them at any cost, while they must unite to achieve their ultimate goal: save the world.
